DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD
I've been waiting nearly four months to say this. Now it has happened I am going to compose myself and savor the moment. Excuse me while I take a deep breath to tell you that ASH IS NO LONGER TOP!!!
Well, we all said it would happen but he wouldn't listen would he? He just went on gloating and now the mighty has fallen having forgotten that old saying about being kind to those you pass on the way up…
 | | Tinged with regret, Ash sadly looked up at the spot where he used to live... | An appalling score of just 18 points (joint lowest of the week!) saw Crumbs DM toppled from the top and now Keane As Mustard are way out in front with an impressive 1193. Deep down Ash new this was going to happen and he has been crying all week. But when it comes to f*cking up one's own Championship chances he is in good company.
Last year it we saw Duck Utd lead from the start only to fall away in the run-in and the same thing happened to Mark's team. He had the championship in the palm of his hand last time around but he too had a "Keegan" and was piped to the post by the Luke Perry All-Stars. Can he hold on this time? Ash, for one, hopes not.
Just below these battling behemoths are 1897 - The Golden Year, who are enjoying their best season to date. They leapfrogged 1FC Laundromat to claim third spot while Spakatak Toxteth remain in fifth to keep in touch with the front-runners.
Elsewhere, it has been a good fortnight for Hicky's Heroes who are now up to 18th. They must be cursing the bad turn of fortunes that struck them down in the early stages. Who knows what would've happened had they managed to get out of first gear a bit sooner?
But they are not alone in their quest to make the most of their season. We've laughed at them all season but now Oh Sheffield are beginning to make their mover. Just twenty-nine points now separates them from the Lone Rangers Return in 29th spot. However, if they want to claim their tenner back they'd better start losing again or they could be cutting their nose off to spite their faces.
Top scorers were Billy's Boots with 104, which will give them a boost in their fight for the Fair Play Award. That's it for this week. Whether or not we get an update next week depends on how far Ash has fallen down the table so make the most of this one…
